Jeremiah's Promise is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that provides broad-based assistance to youth who "age out" of the foster care system or who are soon to "age out" out of care and who would otherwise face poverty and hopelessness without supportive mentoring, life skills development, academic support and career guidance.

Jane Zumot was a Project Manager for Finance Shared Services at Genentech in South San Francisco until August 2013. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Business from San Francisco State University.

Jane became involved with Jeremiah's Promise in September 2011. She discovered her passion for development and wants to encourage and inspire others to also find their passion. Because of this desire to help others, she has mentored colleagues at Genentech and is heavily involved in Toastmasters to further develop her public speaking and leadership skills with a goal to encourage and inspire even more broadly.

Jane's organizational skills and desire to help people like foster youth find their self-worth and confidence, has led her to be a part of our team. Her focus primarily planning and logistics and facilitation of two of our workshops that are key to her passion and skills. The workshops are Worthy of Respect and Justice. Her compassion for at-risk youth has recently led Jane and her husband to adopt three siblings from California's Foster Care System, which has also given her insight to the tragedies that foster children experience. It is also the reason for her departure from Genentech. She and her husband are now the parents of four children and take seriously all of the responsibilities and care that go along with an expanded family!
